But nevertheless, I find it amusing to follow his blog, terrysdiary.com. We already know about his so called fashion photography, but his blog gives us a little peek into his "thumbs up" life.

My internship at Vice Magazine Netherlands came to an end last week. It was the best experience in my life as a graphic designer, but also as a person. I've learned a lot about the business life, working with clients and found myself a bit more.

Not that long ago, Vice launched their own fashion website, Vice Style. It features a lot of fashionshoots that were published in Vice Magazine all over the world. Worth a watch!

Ryan McGinley is a photographer from the US. I'm not particurly a big fan of Ryan McGinley's work, but nevertheless I'm kind of intrigued by his work. Most of the time it's raw and full of nudity. The nudity bothers me a little. Most of the time, the nudity isn't really necessary. But that is just a matter of taste. I like the way he is doing his thing and showing his vision of life through his photo's. Here are a few photo's from McGinley that I like.

I once opened up BLEND magazine, and I saw this model that really caught my eye. His name is Shaun Ross and he is an African-American albino model. I love the way someone who looks different from a lot of the rest of the people, can be so successful in modelling. Well, the pictures speak for themselves.

It's almost Christmas, so I'm done with my assignment and with school! After the Christmas holidays I'm gonna start my internship at VICE magazine as a graphic designer.

This is what I made for my school assignment. It's sad, sober, black, white and you don't see the white border around everything on this white page. But I like it.

As you can see, this is my first post on my new blog.
It's called: Le Chagrin d'Amour.. which means: The sadness of love.

I've chosen this name, because I did an assignment for school about the pain of love and I like the sensuality and intensity of the French language in connection with love, or in this situation, the pain and the sadness of love. I study Graphic Design, by the way. I had to make an advertisement, brochure and some other media with a theme we had to choose ourselves. I like love as a theme, but I thought it was a bit to cheasy, something we already seen a lot, so I thought it was a nice idea to lighten up another side of love. The darker side. The assignment isn't really finished yet, but I will show it to you when I'm done with it!

Maybe I can tell something more about myself.
I love music, I like to sing and I play the guitar a little, tiny bit. Never went to a music school or anything, so it's just a little hobby.
I live in a little place in The Netherlands called Ridderkerk, it's near Rotterdam. From Januari until June 2010, I will travel to Amsterdam every day, because I have an internship at Vice magazine! I'm really looking forward to that. I love art and fashion. I think they really have strong connections with eachother. Nowadays there are so many fashion pieces going down the runway that are just art. I love the way the two melt together.

What my goal with this blog is, is to show the people who are interested in reading, and more important, watching the information I post, my vision on what fashion and art is. The things I like to watch, the things I like to do and the things I like to show.

I am not a fashion or art expert. I am just doing what I like.
